What CallNote is
Your phone system, Teams or Zoom already produces a transcript. CallNote receives that transcript and writes the file note from it in about two minutes, using only what was said. You review it, then Lodge & Lock it: the note is timestamped, sealed with a SHA-256 checksum and kept with an append-only audit log. Transcripts arrive by paste, file upload, email, or automatically from Dialpad, Aircall and Microsoft Teams. Notes can be sent on to HubSpot, Notion, Slack or anything on Zapier. Data is hosted in Sydney and is never used to train AI models.
Pricing is in Australian dollars: $149 a month for one person, or $99 per seat a month for a team, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card. See how CallNote works.
What CallNote is not
CallNote is not a call recorder and not a meeting bot. It does not join your calls and it does not store call audio.
CallNote (callnote.com.au) is also not connected to Callnote, the call and video recording app made by Kanda Software. The names are nearly the same and the products do opposite things. If you are looking for software to record Skype, Zoom or Meet calls, that is the other one.
Who builds it
CallNote is built and run by Ben Ron, an Australian software developer and the founder of Workvolve, a small automation studio. CallNote grew out of a file note tool Ben built and ran inside Australian law firms, where every client call had to end in a written note and nobody had the time to write it. The same problem turned out to exist, almost word for word, in mortgage broking and financial advice.
CallNote is small and Australian. If you email us, a person who works on the product reads it: ben@callnote.com.au.
How the guides are written
The guides on this site cover legal and financial record keeping, so we hold them to a simple standard. Every statement about the law points to the actual provision, regulatory guide or conduct rule. We do not quote statistics we cannot source. Comparisons say where the other product is the better pick. Guides are dated, and the date changes only when the content does. They are general information, not legal or compliance advice, and if we have something wrong we want to know.
Where to start
Try it on your next five calls.
Paste a transcript and see your file note in about two minutes. Never records. Built in Australia.
